چکیده
Abstract Mushroom fly, Lycoriella mali (Diptera: Sciaridae), is the primary pest in imported mushrooms. The amount of Tricholoma matsutake from China increases every fall when it harvested. When importing T. matsutake, disinfestation using methyl bromide (MB) or phosphine (PH 3 ) performed to prevent introduction L. . However, MB will be phased out due ozone-depletion, chronic toxicity workers, and residual issues. PH fumigation mushroom requires a long exposure time (24 h). In this study, we used ethyl formate (EF), which can replace reduce time. efficacy EF, PH3 EF + on was evaluated. Using 4-h at 5 °C, 3rd 4th instar most tolerant stage terms 99% killed lethal concentration × products (LCt ). °C applied all stages , LCt values were 73.1 g h/m 1st 2nd instar, 112.9 68.9 pupae, 20.1 adult. It confirmed that combination treatment with had synergistic effect 0.5 g/m 48.3 only 140 for 4 h > 35 commercial trials containing proven (100%) confirmed. case only, phytotoxic damage occurred high Ct products, there no This study provides new guideline within shorter (4 h) than existing replacement use.

Methyl bromide intoxication during grain store fumigation.
There have been over 300 cases of methyl bromide poisoning reported in the literature. The first objective of this case report was to bring out an experience with the false belief that work in a closed space is safe when accompanied by the use of a cartridge respirator with activated charcoal. The second objective of this article was to demonstrate the marked toxicity of methyl bromide with the...
متن کاملMethyl Bromide Soil Fumigation Alters Plant Element Concentrations
Soil fumigation is used to eliminate plant pathogens and weeds in commercial practice and to eliminate organisms in controlled experiments, e.g., vesicular arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (VAMF). This study was conducted to study the effect of methyl bromide fumigation on plant accumulation of 14 elements and assess plant colonization by VAMF after fumigation. Field experiments were conducted near...

Five dosages of methyl bromide were used to fumigate peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) shells and whole pods of peanuts in 1-liter flasks for 24 hr at 25 C. Methyl bromide dosages as low as 24.5 mg/liter killed all Pratylenchus brachyurus (Godfrey) Filip. &Sch. Stech. in peanut shells. Dosages of 44.6 and 50.9 mg/liter killed all but one or two nematodes in shells of whole pods. A 15% reduction in s...
متن کاملActual hazard of methyl bromide fumigation in soil disinfection.
Methyl bromide, a highly toxic and ready penetrating fumigant, is widely used against rodents, insects, mites, and a range of pathogenic organisms in soil, compost, and timber. To disinfect soil in greenhouses, methyl bromide is brought under pressure from outside by a vaporiser and blown on to ground under a polyethylene cover. The gas being three times heavier than air easily penetrates the g...
